Hello and welcome to Free With Purpose! Our intention for this blog is to speak vulnerably about trials that we as young ladies face daily and ways we can remain steadfast in our Christian walk. Our ultimate purpose is to share the gospel to help further the Kingdom of God. As young women, we have both experienced multiple trials and we feel led to share our testimonies with others who might be going through similar situations. We have aimed this blog primarily toward girls hoping they will feel encouraged because nowadays it is so hard for them to realize and appreciate their own self-worth. This is where we strive to point them towards Christ and to show them that their self-worth is not found in earthly pleasures but through Jesus Christ.

The meaning behind Free With Purpose is once you accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior you become FREE from the bondage of sin. (Romans 8:1-2, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”) Now once you gain this freedom from sin, you now have a PURPOSE as a believer of Christ. This purpose is to live your life in a Christlike manner and to spread the gospel to those who are lost just like you once were.

We hope this blog blesses you and significantly glorifies our Precious Savior.

Love Always, Ashley & Laurin

Hey y’all, I’m Ashley! I was born and raised in the incredible state of Virginia. I am currently attending Pensacola Christian College to receive a degree in elementary education. The greatest day of my life was when I received Christ as my personal Lord and Savior back in 2010 while at the Wilds Christian Camp. My life has been changed ever since! The second greatest day of my life was when my loving fiancé asked me to marry him. He is such an incredible guy and I cannot wait to spend forever with him. My life verse is Psalm 37:4-5. In verse four it talks about how if we delight ourselves in The Lord, He will give us His desires for our lives. In verse five it shows me that if I commit my ways unto Him and trust Him through this process, He will bring my desire to pass. I have had many “heart desires” but I surrendered to His Will for my life. Ever since I surrendered, He has shown me every step of the way on what I needed to do and goodness has He been good through it all!

Hello, I’m Laurin. I live in the beautiful state of Virginia. I am currently studying elementary education at Verita’s Baptist College and I am a four year old teacher so my days consist of a lot of coffee. I was very blessed to have been raised in a Christian family. I received Christ as my Savior when I was seven years old and even though I was a young child that was still the best decision of my life. My life verse is Jude 22. The Lord is so compassionate towards us and we ought to be the same way with ALL of His people. The Lord is still continuing to work in my life and He amazes me daily with all that He has blessed me with.
